The term democracy is widely known in the world of people and is received with a positive response considering the importance of democracy as befitting for the best of the people in the name of administration and the government.

The word democracy has been derived from the two Greek words “Demos” and “Kratos”. Demos means the people and Kratos means the power. So,the word democracy conveys meaning about the power of the people.

The people of a country or a state is in the wheel of power for their own benefits and this form of administration is determined by the participation of the people in the direct or indirect ways.

The American president Abraham Lincoln defines democracy as the rule of the people by the people and for the people. In all forms and formats, democracy can be stated as a form of the government ruled by the people for the people.

However, democracy does not mean always that the people are in absolute happiness or in satisfaction from the forms and functions of the state. Democracy , though hears positive in the ears, bears negative tunes as well.

Democracy is silent about the forms of the people and is not sound about the ways and means how the people will decide the balance of their participation in the formation of the government to run the state successfully.

Democracy is a kind of rule or administration where the people of a particular country or a state take part in the functioning of the government.
