Political science is the scientific study of politics. It is a subject dealing with systems of governance and power besides the analysis of political activities, political thought, political behaviour and associations.
The subject of political science has a relation with political theory and public policy and administration.
Political science is a subject ramified in to diverse methods originating in psychology to social research.
Primarily this subject is vocal about the source and definition of the state along with its functions. Ingredients of a state are many and their scopes are the subject matter of political science.
Political science started to take shape as the subject of study in the latter half of the 18th century and thereafter was included in the fields of social sciences and philosophy.
Political science is concerned with the foundations of political institutions and their ingredients besides analysing human behaviour and associations.
Political science has a good relation with the comparative political systems of the past and contemporary times. Besides, the subject of political science has a good connection with the systems and functions of International Relations covering a wide range of ingredients concerned with developing and the developed nations of the world and with the states and non state elements.
