তোমার খোঁজে
দূরের পাহাড় আজও ডাকে,
তোমার খোঁজে আমার কাছে!
নদীর ধারের গাছের নিচে,
আজও আমি দাঁড়িয়ে থাকি।
নীল আকাশের অনেক খানি
আজও খালি তোমার নামে।
মেঘের ভেলা আজও দেখি,
ভেসে চলে তোমার টানে।
চলার পথে থমকে দাঁড়াই
আছো তো তুমি বসে পিছে?
আজও খোঁজে আমার হৃদয়
স্পর্শ পেতে তোমার কাছে!
বৃষ্টি ভেজা চলার পথে,
আজও আমি আপন মনে,
পিছন ঘুরি তোমার পানে!
কখন তুমি বলবে আমায়,
থামবে নাকি একটু খানি!
হঠাৎ দেখি একটি পাখী,
ডানা মেলে উড়ে এসে,
বলতে থাকে নিজের সুরে,
‘তোমার প্রিয়া নৌকা নিয়ে
চুপটি করে নদীর পাড়ে,
আছে বসে তোমায় নিতে,
আঁধার রাতের কালোর থেকে,
নতুন আলোর অন্য পাড়ে!’

To the world of light!
The hill in the distance,
still beckons me in your name!
To ask me about you,
When shall I come with you again!
On my way, through the roads
by the riverside and in between the trees!
Still I feel your presence as you
are with me by my side!
Still my touch finds you again, to get you in my heart for ever!
Still the blue firmament is wide open in your name, to lead me in your way!
Still I stop under the tree as I feel, you are about to say me!
Still I look back to get you as if you were with me!
And all of a sudden, a bird with its wing;
Lands on a branch of a tree and starts to sing!
‘Go back from this hell and the curse of dark night!
As your dame is alone on a canoe,
In wait for you to take you there;
Where you opt to go in her love,
,your dear, for ever to the world of light!’
